“When the going gets tough only the tough gets going”

Every living person is doing different activities. Each activity gives result whether good or bad. And in doing such activity, there will be uncertainty. Due to uncertainty, pain is inevitable. In this situation, we need to choose if we want to worry and suffer or not. But we don’t like to worry and suffer. That’s why we have strength to become tough and to overcome our weaknesses and fear. That is a way to live a life. Being tough when the going gets tough and soon able to get going and lead through a joyful life in this simple yet complicated world.
In order to be tough, we gone through different trials. Handling trials in a proper way gives us experiences. Experiences are useful for it gives the test first and lesson afterwards, allowing us to make ourselves become strong and be prepared to the next battle. The tests are what we call problems. Many people think that problems are nothing but hindrances. However, problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental Strength. Being tough, does not mean improving ones physical strength but also mental strength. Also the true meaning of strength comes from struggle and endurance not being free from problems.
Solving problem is not easy. But we can accomplish it no matter what. Just work hard and try your best. Never surrender. Those who give up easily do not reach anything. We also need to work with our heart because it provides insight. We need to be motivated by thinking how far we have come rather than looking how far we have to go.  In this way, we will reach our goals and be satisfied.

Math Festival

Finally, there will be a Math festival. I am waiting for this event because last year we don't have this. It is also because when I was a first year student, I remember that there is Math festival and this festival is lot of fun.
Our Math festival was held whole day on the gym of our school. This festival was well-planned. There are lots of contests happened. Some of the contests are Math Jingle, Poster Making, Math Quiz Bee, Math Trail, and Binibini at Ginoong Sipnayan.
At first, the students went in the gym because Math Festival will start. The contestants for Math quiz bee, math trail, Sudoku, Rubik’s cube, Tower of Hanoi contest went to the places where the contest will happen. I am excited to know who will win the contest and I hope our classmates will win.
I had watched the Binibining at Ginoong Sipnayan. I had a lot of fun watching this contest. I enjoyed watching our year representatives’ talent.  Both of them seemed to enjoy their performance. I also watched the Math Jingle. Even though, Third Year’s Math Jingle didn’t win I am still proud of their performance because they performed good and I can see that they tried their best doing it. I watched one of my classmates performance in the Math Singing Contest. He sings well and I congratulate him.
After the program, I went home. When I went home, I thought that tomorrow there will be a classes again and back to normal life.

Letter to the Shepherd

Dear Shepherd,

I am sorry but I can’t answer whether I will accept or not your offers. I can see your efforts but there is something not right. For me, it doesn’t matter how many gifts
I will receive to the guy. I am not the kind of materialistic girl. Love is important for me and I just can’t give up my love just for things or pleasures. I will marry and live happy with the one I love.
I am not saying that you don’t have chance. I am just trying to say that if you really want to win my heart, prove me that you are sincere. Show to me that you really love me. Show it in a way that I will fall in love with you.

                                                                                                                                            Sincerely yours,
                                                                                                                                                  Simple Girl

Fieldtrip 2011

When I heard that there will be a field trip, I became happy because I knew that I will be away from the stress in school. The first thing came to my mind was this day will be such a fun. My excited became more intense when I heard the places where we will go.
On the day of field trip, my friends and I met in 7-11. We bought foods there. After that we went to our school and rode our respective buses, bus number 6. My seatmate was Krisha. I had a lot of fun in the bus because our tour guide was very funny. I laughed and laughed.
Our first destination was the Science Discovery in Mall of Asia. I discovered many things. We talked with the fish and asked questions. We instructed the baby bear to jump so that he/she can go to his/her mother. We danced poker face. We played soccer. We entered a room which discussed about earthquake. The last thing we did there was watched a video about the solar system.  After that we went outside the Science Discovery and looked for the place where we will eat our lunch. At that time, we thought that it was lunch already but we were wrong. Our bus waited for us. Our classmates texted us to go back to the bus but we can’t go back because we were still waiting for our food. When we went back to where our bus was, the bus was not there but our tour guide was there. He told us that just eat our food and don’t go far away. After we eat, the bus arrived. We thought that our teachers were mad at us but they were not. We were given time to roam around the Mall of Asia. We went to Comic Alley. After going there, we went back to the place where our bus will fetch us. This time we promised that we will never be late again and we successfully did it.
Next was Myth of the Human Body. I had a lot of fun here because I gained new knowledge about human body. I was amazed when I heard that the bodies there were true. They were the bodies of people who died and were donated by the government. Most of the bodies there were Chinese. Two of them were European. The bodies there were preserved using the process known as plastination. This process was really amazing.
After going there, we went in Kulturang Pinoy. I learned many things about Philippines’ Culture and National Hero. I laughed hard in the video where one of our schoolmates was caught sleeping by the camera. We watched a sad video about parents’ message to their child. This almost made me cry.
Then we went back to Mall of Asia to have shopping and eat dinner. My companion in Mall of Asia was Krisha. First we went to National Bookstore. We bought ballpoint pens. Next we looked for Department Store. We took a lot of time looking for it. Then finally, we had found it. We just looked for the clothes but didn’t buy anything. Next, we had our dinner to gain strength. After having dinner, we went to Hypermarket. Krisha took a lot of time buying clothes and foods. I had waited for such a long time that’s why I became bad trip.
Then we went back to our bus to go home. I am very tired this time but even though I am tired, I said to myself that this was okay. It was okay because I learned many things and had a lot of fun with my friends. I promised to myself that I won’t forget this day because this is one of my happy days here in Earth.

To All Teachers

Teachers are those people who teach students with all their knowledge. They are the symbol of learning. They are professionals and they know mostly all the answers. They serve as heroic inspiration to everyone. Because of these, they deserve big thanks from their students.

You Have Made A Difference

This song is for those
Who inspire us today
Who always lend a helping hand
To help show us the way
This song is for those
Who see their students through
The tough times in their lives
For that, we say thank you
Refrain:
You have made a difference
You have shaped our minds
You have changed the world
One child at a time
You have always been there
In everything you do
I hope that you’re as proud of me
As I am proud of you
This song is for those
Who heard the silent cries
Who stepped in to wipe the tears
From the children’s eyes
For those who gave us
A safe to grow
A place for us to call our home
Forever we will know… that
[ Refrain ]
This song is for those
Who taught us right from wrong
Who taught us much more than their craft
To help our minds grow strong
This song is for those
Who guide us through and through
So that we can make a life
For that we say thank you
[ Refrain ]
As I look back on my life
Into the path within my reach
I hope I can change a life
Of those that I teach
I can make a difference
All I do is try
Try to see a different world
Through the children’s eyes
Modified Refrain:
And I will always be there
In everything I do
I hope that you’re as proud of me
As I am proud of you
 [ Repeat Modified Refrain ]

I choose this song to dedicate to the teachers all over the world because this song is for the teachers, who inspire us today and who always lend a helping hand. This song wants the teachers to know that every student they teach makes a huge difference. This also wants to know the whole world of how the students are proud of their teachers.

NCAE

I asked my mother and father if they took NCAE (National Career Assessment Exam) when they are high school. They said they took it also but they are fourth year high school when they took it. I felt sad because fourth year students should be the one who will take it and not us, third year students. I thought that this is such a burden to us. I didn’t think that this will have good consequences to us.

Taking NCAE earlier than usual, will make us be prepared of what we are going to do after we graduated in high school. Taking this exam is for the benefit of us. This will give us idea of what kind of course will fit us. This will help us, student like me who is having hard time in deciding.

NCAE is not just an exam. It means a lot. It means a lot in such a way that this will guide us to the right path of what course to take. It makes the students be prepared for college and gives insurance for a better future.
